A Simple and Fun Way to Introduce Your Baby to Solids

In Partnership with Gerber

We talked to Zainab from NY and here’s what she had to say:

Q
How Did You Choose Your Gerber Lil’ Mixers Flavor For Your Little?

A
I chose the Gerber Lil' Mixers Apple Blueberry with Puffed Grain because my daughter absolutely loves fruits and blueberries, so it happened to be one of her favorites. I was not sure if she would like this product at first because she tends to prefer soft solids only, but she ended up loving it.
Q
Tell Us About Your Experience Prepping It.

A
I ended up using about half of the container of the Apple Blueberry mix and most of the puffed grain during her mid-morning snack, but I'm sure she'll finish the rest of it during her afternoon snack. I absolutely love that this product is unique in that it allows for the child to feed themselves independently, while also being fed.
Q
How Was Your Baby’s Experience Trying Lil’ Mixers?

A
My daughter absolutely loved being able to use her little fingers to feed herself and seemed to enjoy the taste of the Apple Blueberry flavor as I fed it to her. She laughed and giggled the entire time and was super happy. I'd probably try the Apple Strawberry Banana flavor in the same sized packaging next.
Q
Share Your Tips + Tricks For Introducing Your Kiddo To Solid Foods.

A
I am the type of parent that kind of just goes with what I feel my child is ready for. By this I mean that once my daughter expressed interest in safe solids, I started to introduce as many varieties of foods as I could after her doctor gave the okay. For parents that may be a bit nervous about preparing their baby's solid foods at home or may not know where to start, I would definitely say Gerber Lil' Mixers simplify this process for you.
My daughter and I had fun with this Gerber Lil' Mixers product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a simple way to introduce their child to solid foods.
