Our Summer Edit 2020
There’s something about the hot summer air that brings up nostalgia + hope. While predicting what this season will look like from inside our homes, our recos may look a little different. However, let it be known that we have not given up on summer 2020. In fact, we’ve already gotten word from our EIC of her picks for this season + can safely say that this season is not going to be overlooked. While our priorities x products have shifted due to the climate we’re in, our mission of connecting women x products stands true. We’re listening + learning, and we hope this edit of our finds x ideas for this season reflect that.
01 | Tan-Luxe Sleep Oil — Learned about this number from an A9 contributor’s IG takeover + I’m loving it. [Hey Belmer!] An overnight bronzing treatment that does all the work while I catch up on Zzzs.
02 | Pop Up Grocer — While we’re still limiting our time in and out of the store, I’ve been stashing some goods from Pop Up Grocer, a traveling, pop-up grocery store stocked with hundreds of innovative, unique brands + staples you’ll love.
03 | Buck Mason Masks — Anti-microbial coating that will last up to 30 wash cycles. Hands down my favourite masks I’ve found so far [5-pack for $20]. So soft, comfortable, and well fitting. Plus, for each mask sold, one is donated in return — check out how many have been donated here.
05 | Fruity Pebbles — While definitely an indulgence I’ll need to drop post COVID-19, this kid-friendly breakfast has been making my days in a little more colorful.
06 | Dry Brush — Such a beautiful object. Now to learn how to use it! I’ve been on a deep dive of tutorials over here. If you have the scoop, pass it here please.
08 | Floral Cubes — I’ve been dropping flowers into my ice tray lately. Just freeze and serve to make your favourite summer beverage a little more inspired. Scored this easy entertaining tip from m’girl Alicia.
I’ve been sporting this Smiley Chain Bracelet since March — a reminder to hang in there.
AC: A splurge at first glance, but this gorgeous ceramic candle is hand poured in California and can be upcycled as a tumbler for daily enjoyment [so worth it now, right?]. How to: Once your candle has burned down, stick in the freezer for a few hours. Then pull the remnant frozen wax out by the wick, wash, and voila! A vessel for coffee, flowers, brushes, whatevs.
AC: Delicious by itself or you can toss it in your morning smoothie. Go-to recipe: Banana, Frozen Blueberries, Greek Yogurt, Maca Powder, and Honey.
AC: By far my weirdest purchase from the Q. Stalked this from seeing it in an IGTV. A random purchase, but so pretty + useful for getting a cool down heading into the dog days.
AC: Not sweet like other canned margaritas. Lethal though at 12.5% so don’t say I didn’t tell you.

Paying Attention To: Digi pen pal of mine, Hannah Jane Collazo, is curating thoughtful care packages sourced exclusively from independent Black-owned businesses. She’s made it so easy to vote with our dollars and help spread support where it is so greatly deserved. . . check it.
On Order: We’re Not Really Strangers was featured on the site earlier this summer, and all the buzz got me inspired to try it out myself. Needless to say, I’m tracking the shipment daily.
Lust List: Really want one of these bad boys. They’re adorable. Think I may actually try to make one! I mean, we are all tethered for remote work right now. . . so . . .
Inspired By: Sophia Roe — She is a FORCE who I have thoroughly enjoyed following along with. Can’t wait to try her infused water recipe. . .
