Our October Edit
Around here, we’re slowly easing in to all things autumn — embracing the cooler weather + fuller calendar. In honor of the shifting season, I recently escaped for a weekend in Hudson, New York — my dear friend, Alison [owner of BEST Creative Studio], has a property there that she’s playfully coined “the estate.” We’ve been talking for years about a house swap, and I finally took her up on it. It was an ideal time to head North with my bestie and explore the Fall colors in Vermont + Massachusetts. For me, a quick weekend trip always leaves me inspired + creatively energized. The art, culinary, and antique scene — basically everything — felt considered and beautiful. Plus, the trip sent me on my way with some must-have product ideas I’ve been anticipating sharing with you guys this month. Tune in below . . .
AC: It was so refreshing to be in a new part of the country, surrounded by new sights + people. The main drag in Hudson with all the shops is Warren Street, and that’s where so many of my favorite spots were hiding– Lil Deb’s Oasis [if you know, you know], Hawkins, Enkyu, and then popping to Rivertown Lodge for a drink and swoon over their cozy interiors.
AC: We day-tripped up to the Berkshires to see the Fall colors and stopped into Prairie Whale for an incredible lunch– highly recommend.
AC: My friend’s pad in Hudson had a playful nod to her roots in beach-y florida — bright white-washed walls, photos filling nooks + crannies, and artful touches throughout. There’s no wonder she’s making waves as founder of BEST. Fun fact: she is the responsible eye for Aisle 9 branding.
AC: Found these stunning tapers at Hawkins, where I snagged a few colors [camel, grey, pistachio] + have already incorporated them at my place — I’m vibing with the mixture of these x some ivory unscented pillars for an effective kitchen table moment.
AC: One of the many finds from my friend’s house are these little air purifying bags she had hiding around the house behind various vents — a natural way to purify the air.
AC: This home + lifestyle read [tastefully named Abode + written by the founders of General Store] caught my eye at a local shop, MINNA.
AC: These gummies have been one of the most noteworthy finds of the season, straight from one of the women on our team. We all know the benefits of taking a daily shot of ACV, but these little gummies actually make it enjoyable.
AC: Saw this brand at every turn, so I took note. These little reusable bottles are an easy way to cut down on plastic + your household cleaning purchases.
AC: Did a double take when I saw this OG femcare brand taking note of what consumers are asking for. An affordable alternative to higher priced organic tampon brands like Lola + Cora, this was too exciting of a find not to share.
AC: Little cork elements were sprinkled throughout Alison’s abode. It seemed to be an effortless + affordable signature as I breezed through her home — cork lids containing pantry staples, a glass + cork urn holding chilled water in the fridge, and simple rounds of cork on side tables, eager to be your drink’s next resting place. Basically, she’s the chicest, and everyone should find a friend like her. Thank you for letting us crash, Bun! x
