Letter From The Editor | 2021 In Review
As the year is winding down, I find myself reflecting on how much has happened this year + how much there is to be grateful for. From hybrid everything, to slowly finding our way in the world again [+ then back to hybrid everything], I’m spending the end of this year meditating on all that we as a community have experienced, accomplished, and walked through.
For some, Aisle 9 has been a new discovery this year. For others, you’ve been with us since the beginning. To both of these groups, I’m so grateful. When joining the publication in 2017, I asked the question, “Why can’t we shift the focus of traditional media from aspirational x unattainable, to content that elevates the practical, staple pieces that we use in our day to day?” That foundation of sourcing helpful, everyday items for you, the reader, is our true north star. We continue to be passionate about our finds staying curated x under $200 – focusing on products that are actually attainable + enrich your daily life.
As we enter a new era, where consumers are pressing more x more on the hard questions before adding to cart, we have adjusted our already rigorous filter for vetting products. When you read an Aisle 9 article, know that there’s a small but dedicated team of passionate, talented, and committed people who pour over every recommendation before it makes it to your screen.
Thank you for staying curious – it is what encourages us to keep pushing x innovating.
One of the best parts of making a publication is the creative collaboration x I am grateful to my vibrant team for showing up as their best to bring Aisle 9 to life every day. Thank you to our readers, advertisers, and business partners. You’ve made all of this possible.
2021 was great because of you. On that note, I wish you all a stunning holiday — cheers to a new year!
The best is yet to come. . .
