Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Kay C. from PA about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Kay C.:  The different flavors in the broth are spiciness and sort of tastes similar to chicken broth or vegetable broth. The overall taste and texture of the noodles is great and spicy hot! The noodles are very soft and cooked quickly. The soup tastes extra spicy because it is extremely hot.
“I also liked the fact that it was spicy as it adds a bold flavor to it.”

Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Kay C.:  I would pair it with a side of garlic bread or add some chicken or vegetables. I would probably add broccoli, chicken and a little bit of onion to it to enhance it. I would make a possible stir fry with it as well.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Kay C.:  I liked or enjoyed the fact that it was more filling from other ramen noodles I've had. I also liked the fact that it was spicy as it adds a bold flavor to it. I like the fact that it has mushrooms and scallions in it.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Kay C.:  I prepared by the shin cup with a cup of water and added the seasoning and warmed or cooked it in the microwave. I would cook it in a pot if I had time. I like the fact that it is easy and quick to cook on the go in a cup in a microwave as it makes it very convenient to heat and eat.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Kay C.:  The general level of spiciness is quite spicy once it gets heated up. the heat adds a level of spicy. I would suggest adding water or broth or vegetables and meat to it to reduce the spiciness if it is too spicy for them. I think that the spiciness however adds a great bold kick to it and is good for a cold!

Thank you for your time, Kay C.! We love your feedback.
