Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Shonda G. from FL about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Shonda G.:  I chose the Gourmet Spicy cup and overall it was pretty good. The noodles were a little thinner than others, which I really loved! The flavor was delicious, and the broth had a beef taste with a hint of spicy flavor.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Shonda G.:  I like fresh vegetables with my noodles, so I would definitely add some sprouts and corn. I also would saute some shrimp and make it a complete meal.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Shonda G.:  The Shin cup really had an authentic Asian seasoned flavor. The noodles were a lot thinner which for me made it easier to enjoy. The flavors were a delicious array of spices as opposed to just tasting like salty chicken boullion seasoning like some of the other brands.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Shonda G.:  I added a little water and then popped it in the microwave for the allotted time. I then mixed it once and let it sit for about a minute, to allow it to cool and also the flavors to set. This meal was super easy to prepare.

Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Shonda G.:  The level of heat and overall spiciness was mild. It was just a hint if spice to compliment the other flavors, but nothing overpowering.

Thank you for your time, Shonda G.! We love your feedback.
