Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Paula C. from MI about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Paula C.:  The base packet mixes perfectly with the water to make a spicy and flavorful broth. It is a nice balance of spices and beef flavors. Ginger is a lingering note that hits the back of the tongue pleasantly. The noodles have a spongelike texture, but they compliment the broth. Together, the broth and the noodles are a balanced, tasty pairing.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Paula C.:  The addition of salad size shrimp or thin beef slices would make the Shin Cup a hearty lunch or snack. I would also like to use the Shin Cup in my ramen noodle salad recipe. The spice mixture in the flavor pack will give it amazing depth.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Paula C.:  The broth flavor is my favorite part. It has a heightened spice flavor that sets it apart from the other ramen products.
“The broth flavor is my favorite part.”

Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Paula C.:  I actually put the Shin Cup under my Keurig and pushed the mug button. It was that easy. I put the lid down and waited the 3 minutes, took the lid off and stirred. The directions are complete and easy. It made the prep simple and quick. It took less then 5 minutes to be able to enjoy the Spicy Shin Cup.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Paula C.:  On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the spiciest, I would give the Shin Cup an 8. It has an elevated spicy flavor that is not over the top. It has a bold, balanced flavor.

Thank you for your time, Paula C.! We love your feedback.
