Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.
We talked to Denise M. from FL about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:
Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Denise M.: The spiciness overwhelms any other flavors in the broth. Based on the ingredients listed and the amount of grease present, I assume this to be a beef base stock. The noodles are soggy but comparable to other noodle cups I have tried. Overall, it is tasty, as I enjoy spicy food, however it could use more acidic notes.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Denise M.: I would try adding some lime and fresh herbs to the broth. I would also add some meat to make it more of a meal. Lastly, I would try cooking it for a shorter period of time trying to keep the noodles a little more firm.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Denise M.: I liked that the Shin Cup had a good amount of spices compared to other ramen noodles. It was convenient to prepare and contained a good portion size.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Denise M.: Simply open the cup, empty the packet of base and fill with water. I heated mine in the microwave, however hot water can be used if a microwave is not available.

Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Denise M.: I would recommend with caution as this may be considered too spicy to many people. I enjoy spice and felt this to be about a 3-4 out of 5.
Thank you for your time, Denise M.! We love your feedback.
