Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Delsie L. from NC about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Delsie L.:  The noodles are little bit mushy but not horrible. The flavors I'm getting are spicy, chicken, and onion. Together, the noodles and broth are a good combo. I'd say it's a bit too spicy for my taste but still a great taste.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Delsie L.:  If I were going to add something it would be fresh vegetables. Some carrots, celery, and green onion to add some crunch to it.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Delsie L.:  I like that this is a more filling cup of noodles, you got a lot of food for the price. I love that the flavor profile is strong and you cannot miss it in the shin cup. I also like that the cup isn't styrofoam and doesn't leave a chemical taste behind.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Delsie L.:  I prepare the shin cup by adding water and microwaving it. It was super easy to do. If I were to have this on the go it would be perfect all I would need is water and a microwave.
“ I love that the flavor profile is strong.”

Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Delsie L.:  The spice is subtle in the beginning and really kicks in at the end. It's geared more towards spice lovers.

Thank you for your time, Delsie L.! We love your feedback.
