Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Melissa K. from MS about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Melissa K.:  In the broth, I'm tasting chicken, pepper, and salt. There is a season I can't put my finger on that. Boy is it spicy! The texture of the noodles is a little rubbery, but nothing unchewable. This is an alright noodle bowl, but it is spicy and has a bit too much salt. I would possibly eat again.
“The convenience of a hot meal ready in minutes that's tasty is my favorite part!”
— Melissa K.,  MS
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Melissa K.:  To enhance the flavor, I think I would add shredded chicken and more carrots to balance out the heat. That would be a flavor combination I would enjoy.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Melissa K.:  This ramen has chunks of vegetables inside where others are simply noodles. It's far superior there! The convenience of a hot meal ready in minutes that's tasty is my favorite part!
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Melissa K.:  The Shin Cup was super easy to prepare. I simply opened the flavor packet and filled with water to the marked line before popping it in the microwave for three minutes. It is very easy to prepare and super quick for a meal! It would be great on the go as long as you had access to a microwave or very warm water(as that is the other way the package suggests for making).
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Melissa K.:  It's quite spicy! I was reaching for my water, but it wasn't overwhelming. It has a kick, but it's a nice heat.

Thank you for your time, Melissa K.! We love your feedback.
