Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Mellissa S. from MN about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Mellissa S.:  NongShim Shin Ramyun Noodle Soup instantly impressed me with the quality of their noodles compared to other Ramen. The deep red beef broth also has vegetable flavors with bits of onion and carrots, plus a hint of ginger!
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Mellissa S.:  I enjoy the heat of the Shin Cup, but to tame it down a bit I would love to try it with some add ins. Next time I am going to try to add an egg directly into the broth to thicken it up and absorb some heat. Some extra vegetables like scallions and mushrooms would be amazing, sliced cucumber might be a nice balance to all that yummy Korean spice. You can never go wrong with a bit of fresh ginger!

Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Mellissa S.:  The quality of the Shin Cul noodles cannot be rivaled! They are much firmer and far less soggy than any other Ramen I've tried. I can't wait to test out some new and improved ramen recipes using NongShim. Even straight from the microwave without any additions, this cup was hearty and filling. This would make a perfect, fast, and easy lunch to make quick at work.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Mellissa S.:  The directions on the cup are simple and easy to follow. Even when the noodles sat in the hot water, they stayed dense and delicious, even as is.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Mellissa S.:  The heat is bold but the flavorful spices make it worth the burn. It's a bit spicier than I usually can handle, but the salty broth helps a lot. With some add ins, you could adjust the heat level to make it perfect for anyone's tastes.

Thank you for your time, Mellissa S.! We love your feedback.
