Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Ginger A. from WV about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Ginger A.:  The broth has a beef flavor. It is very spicy, with a strong red pepper flavor. I can also taste onion, garlic, ginger and mushrooms, as well. The noodles have a great tender, yet firm, texture. The overall taste is very good and very very spicy.

Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Ginger A.:  I would like to try the Shin Cup with shrimp in it. I think the spicy flavor would compliment shrimp very well. I would also like to try adding extra mushrooms to one. I think this would taste excellent.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Ginger A.:  I liked the spicy flavor the most. I also really liked that Shin Cup doesn't contain the preservative TBHQ. This makes me prefer it over other noodle cups. In addition, I love that it is not in a Styrofoam cup.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Ginger A.:  I prepared the cup using the microwave directions on the side of the cup. It was very easy to prepare and I think it would make a very quick and convenient lunch for me to take to work.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Ginger A.:  The heat is rather intense. It builds on the palate as you continue to eat it. It would not be good for people with a weak tongue.

Thank you for your time, Ginger A.! We love your feedback.
