Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Brodie M. from FL about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Brodie M.:  The different flavors I taste are chili pepper, green onion, and the broth has a beefy taste to it. It's pretty spicy overall. The noodles overall are a great texture, very soft and easy to eat consistency.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Brodie M.:  I think I would add flank steak or even chicken with these noodles. Maybe even some soy sauce with some protein would add some great flavor to the overall dish. I think adding some fresh vegetables like carrots or zucchini would taste really good with it.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Brodie M.:  I liked the added vegetables with the noodles and the spices provided with the cup. I appreciate the beefy flavor and the consistency of the noodles and how soft they became compared to other ramen I've tried.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Brodie M.:  I prepared the Shin Cup in the microwave, which was a very convenient way to cook it as it only took a few minutes. Preparing it was easy by just adding spices and water which was also make it very convenient. I needed to take it on the go.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Brodie M.:  I would only recommend this product to someone if they can tolerate pretty spicy food. My mouth is still on fire a bit from the noodles but I would 100% recommend it to someone who enjoys a more intense spicy flavor.
“The noodles overall are a great texture.”
