Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Melissa M. from TX about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Melissa M.:  The broth has an interesting savory spicy flavor to it; a nice kick but not too spicy that it overwhelms. The noodles are a nice texture. I don't enjoy mushy or noodles that just fall apart and these have consistency, yet aren't chewy. Together everything melds well - not too salty, definitely not bland, just a good overall balance.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Melissa M.:  I would definitely add some additional fresh veggies like green onions or some tomato because I love them so much. I would also consider making a piece of chicken or pork and adding that to the soup or accompanying the soup with it dependent on my mood.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Melissa M.:  I really enjoyed the spicy kick this cup has and the consistency of the contents was enjoyable. I feel it differs from other ramen I've tried by being a bit better quality than the few I've consumed.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Melissa M.:  The cup was easy to prepare if following the directions listed right on the cup. As listed I added the appropriate amount of water and microwaved the cup for 3 minutes. Everything comes ready to go and is a breeze to situate and prepare.
“I really enjoyed the spicy kick this cup has.”

Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Melissa M.:  I'm a chili lover so the spice was not a problem for me but if you like a little zip in your soup this cup is made for you!

Thank you for your time, Melissa M.! We love your feedback.
