Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to JoAnna M. from FL about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
JoAnna M.:  The overall flavor was extremely spicy! The texture of the noodles was just perfect when microwaved at 3 minutes. They were al dente, which is usually not the case with noodle cups I have previously tried. There seems to be Siracha sauce and there looks to be certain vegetables to obtain an Asian flavor, but the spice is overwhelming.
“I found my mouth hot, but wanting more.”

Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
JoAnna M.:  To improve the mealtime experience of the Shin Cup I would add more vegetables for texture. I would also suggest to reduce the seasoning that produces the spice as I am a huge fan of spicy products, but this was extremely spicy.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
JoAnna M.:  The noodles in the Shim cup were larger, making than other noodle cups making more of an al dente texture after 3 minutes in the microwave. I like the design on the packaging and the texture of the noodle.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
JoAnna M.:  The Shin cup was simple to make. I added the packet to the product and microwaved for 3 minutes making it extremely convenient. The aroma in the office was delightful and the lunch was extremely easy to prepare.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
JoAnna M.:  The Shin cup is for the person that loves spicy foods. The flavor is bold and lingers in your mouth well after the bite is gone. I found my mouth hot, but wanting more.

Thank you for your time, JoAnna M.! We love your feedback.
