Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Elizabeth J. from OH about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Elizabeth J.:  These noodles were very flavorful and just the right spice. It was definitely salty. You can taste the chicken and I think different vegetable flavors. The noodles were a bit too long. If they were half the size as they are then they'd be perfect.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Elizabeth J.:  I would add cooked chicken strips, peas, and carrots to this cup. This would also go good along side an egg roll.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Elizabeth J.:  I love that it has more flavor than other ramen. And you only have to cook it for 3 minutes and the noodles will be soft. Other ramen has to be cooked longer or else the noodles will still be hard.
“This is one of the easiest grab and go meals I've ever made.”

Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Elizabeth J.:  This is one of the easiest grab and go meals I've ever made. I followed the instructions and put the packet in with the noodles and then added room temperature water. I then cooked it in the microwave for 3 minutes.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Elizabeth J.:  I would say this has just the right spice. It's not so much that it burns your mouth or takes away from the flavor. You're able to comfortably eat your meal and still enjoy the flavor.

Thank you for your time, Elizabeth J.! We love your feedback.
