Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Yvette M. from NV about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Yvette M.:  I was hoping it wouldn't be too spicy, but it wasn't at all. The flavor was good, maybe even a little sweetness flavor would be what lingered the most after each bite. The noodles were perfect. They were better than top ramen because they were more solid, and they didn't loose their texture after having them in my mouth.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Yvette M.:  I think the Nongshim Noodle Bowl was excellent. I am not a chef or anything so it's hard to come up with a recipe it would belong in. But, not to worry- the bowl was perfect just by itself. If I had to choice a main menu item I'd like to taste it with, I would think a steak would be the item I'd pick. Then, I'd make the bowl less like soup but more just the noodles and flavoring.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Yvette M.:  The Nongshim Bowl noodles were much better than other bowls- let's say Top Ramen. The noodles did not become soggy and stayed true to their form even the last noodles.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Yvette M.:  The preparation was as easy as could be. I am not a person who is known for making fancy meals and the microwave instructions were easy to read and easy to follow.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Yvette M.:  The bowl was, on a scale of 1-10 (10 spiciest), a 6. I had no problem with it. But, my nine year old daughter would have said it was too spicy.
“I think the Nongshim Noodle Bowl was excellent.”
