Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Lynn P from FL about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Lynn P:  I enjoyed the soft but firm noodles, in a delicious broth with hot chili cayenne pepper overtones. I also enjoyed the accented flavors of seasoned salt with just enough onion and mushroom flavor.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Lynn P:  To enhance the flavor of this already delicious noodle soup, I would use more dried mushrooms, dried carrots and dried green onions. I would also prefer a 'less sodium' version, as the cayenne chili pepper is more than enough flavor for people who love spicy-hot foods.

Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Lynn P:  I loved the extra hot flavor. Other ramen noodle companies brands (that I've tried) are too salty and the flavor is overpowered by salt; furthermore, they don't put real pieces of veggies in their product, like Shin Cup does.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Lynn P:  I heated water in my Keurig machine, then poured it over the noodles to the fill line inside the cup. Next, I covered it with a a saucer and waited 3 minutes then stirred it. It was easy and quick to prepare - not messy at all.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Lynn P:  I love hot and spicy foods and this the right heat & flavor to satisfy my palate. I would recommend this to anyone with a craving for hot and spicy meal, and has a tight budget and or has little time to go out to eat.

Thank you for your time, Lynn P! We love your feedback.
