Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Jessica A. from MT about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Jessica A.:  The first thing I noticed about the broth was the rich, spicy, umami flavor. It was nice and beefy. The noodles were perfectly done after about 2 1/2 minutes and went very well with the broth. I think this product be a great base for a Ramen dinner with lots of vegetable added.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Jessica A.:  I would use it at lunch or dinner time as a complete Ramen Dish. I would add lots of fresh vegetables and fresh lime.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Jessica A.:  My favorite part about the product is the flavor of the broth, and the amount of spice. I think it's a great alternative from regular instant ramen products.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Jessica A.:  For preparation I pulled the top off and added about 3/4 of a container of water. I then microwaved it for 2 1/2 minutes and let it sit for about another minute. I found the product easy to prepare and not confusing at all.
“My favorite part about the product is the flavor of the broth.”

Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Jessica A.:  The heat that hits your tongue right away it really hit, but then comes the beefy umami flavor that helps mellow it out a bit.

Thank you for your time, Jessica A.! We love your feedback.
