Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Aalana T from TX about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Aalana T:  The texture of the noodles are soft, not slimy. It is easy to bite, chew and swallow. In the broth, there is a slight mushroom flavor, with spicey jalapeños. The gentle flavor of the noodles with the spicy flavor of the broth is a great combination of cold and hot that does not overpower the tastebuds.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Aalana T:  I would choose to enhance the meal by dropping an egg yolk in as soon it is removed from the microwave.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Aalana T:  I like the spicy flavor. Other ramen noodles offer specific flavors such as shrimp, chicken or beef but I have not eaten a packages food that is truly spicy and this is.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Aalana T:  I added room temperature water to the line and then microwaved for 3 minutes. The cup is very convenient compared to the noodles in the package because you don't have to get a pot out and boil water. It is clean, quick and easy to prepare.
“The gentle flavor of the noodles with the spicy flavor of the broth is a great combination.”

Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Aalana T:  I would describe the level of spiciness as that of a raw jalapeño.

Thank you for your time, Aalana T! We love your feedback.
