Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.
We talked to Houda H. from FL about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:
Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Houda H.: To be honest, it is so super duper, spicy hot that you can barely taste anything besides your burning tongue and lips and watery eyes!!! The first and second taste were brutal, but when I continued I found it to be actually very tasty... The noodles are great, texture is perfect, broth is rich red and very spicy... and I loved the visible vegetables bits and pieces!
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Houda H.: First, I would definitely use half or more of soup base packet because it's extremely hot! I would use chicken broth instead of water, and use less liquid too, I would add chicken pieces and cook! I will turn it more into a drier, meal than soup!
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Houda H.: It is tasty and can be played with in terms of adding stuff or use in a recipe and it definitely has more vegetable pieces than any other product.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Houda H.: Very easy and simple to prepare .. can be taken very easily to work .. all that is needed is water and adding chicken to make it a meal is optional, but doable!
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Houda H.: I would definitely recommend using half the spice packet .. extremely spicy!
