Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Linda L. from OK about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Linda L.:  This product is not for the faint-of-heart or the timid eater! The broth by itself is a powerful blend of the red pepper and the black pepper along with the green onions, carrots and mushrooms guaranteed to open your sinuses! The broth-infused noodles are tasty and chewy, but not mushy. It will wake up your taste buds but be sure your water glass is close by and filled!
“It will wake up your taste buds.”
— Linda L.,  OK
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Linda L.:  This was my first experience with this product so not knowing entirely what to expect, I emptied the cooked soup into a bowl and proceeded to partake. However, next time ( and I believe there will be a next time as I do like spicy foods), I believe I might tone it down a bit by adding a package of cooked Beef Ramen noodles.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Linda L.:  It was certainly quick and easy to fix using the Hot Water instructions. The main difference between this product and other similar products would have to be the definite spicy quality!
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Linda L.:  I do not own a microwave so I used the "Hot Water" instructions. Three minutes later, I was pouring it into a bowl to cool. The preparation couldn't have been easier!
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Linda L.:  I would only recommend this to my friends who are not afraid to try something different. I know a few very timid eaters...this is not for them. On a scale of 1-5, I would rate the spiciness at 4.5. It seems to become a tad (maybe less) milder with each additional bite.

Thank you for your time, Linda L.! We love your feedback.
