Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Haley P. from GA about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Haley P.:  Very reminiscent of the nissin ramen noodle soup cups. Soup had a savory taste with a noticeable kick of spice right from the start. Noodle texture was decent. Similar to that of competitor noodle cup meals. However, the spicy after taste was a little overwhelming and not many flavors could be experienced.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Haley P.:  Adding more water or perhaps some beef broth might help ease the spiciness some. I am a fan of spicy but I ate those noodles 15 mins ago and I'm still feeling them!

Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Haley P.:  The packaging was nice. The ease of being able to safely microwave the cardboard cup was an almost win over for me. It was also nice to see all the oriental writing on the cup. Makes you feel like you are really experiencing something and not just eating ramen noodles.... again.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Haley P.:  I actually prepared the noodles while simultaneously preparing dinner for my two toddlers. So obviously it was easy. Just added the powdered soup base, then filled with water and popped it in the microwave! So easy!
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Haley P.:  I would not recommend this product to anyone who isn't a serious fan of spicy foods. It's pretty strong. And the feeling lingers long after you eat the noodles.

Thank you for your time, Haley P.! We love your feedback.
