Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.
We talked to Clarissa G. from TX about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:
Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Clarissa G.: The broth is this soup is hearty and beefy. It has a spicy kick that really brings out the Asian flavor. The noodles are soft and rich. Each bite was interesting and it never got old or boring. I liked how it was filling and flavorful, much more so than other soups of this kind.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Clarissa G.: I would eat this with a bread of some sort. I ate with white bread and it was a good balance. I also paired it with a coke and it was delicious. I could add vegetables to make it even thicker and richer - possibly even beer cubes.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Clarissa G.: The noodles were more rich and less stiff. They cooked perfectly and quickly. It had more of a unique spicy kick that made eating it interesting from beginning to end.

Clarissa G.: I boiled water and placed the water inside and waited the 3 minutes. it was simple and to the point. I didn't have to wait long and it was perfectly cooked after the time elapsed.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Clarissa G.: It's pretty spicy, but it will not make you uncomfortable to the point where you won't want to eat it. It's comfort food and a good pick me up with the spice kick.
