Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Koya A. from NC about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Koya A.:  OMG!! These noodles are filled with flavor. Some of the ingredients in the sauce I'm sure I don't usually eat. They compliment the noodles well. The texture of the noodles are much noticeable than others I've tried. These are thicker and textured, which is much different from the thinner smooth kind. I like the spiciness, although it leaves your lips feeling hot, hot, hot. I like how the meat is incorporated as well. This could make for a good snack. You're getting your veggies, meats, and grains. Good job of this mixture.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Koya A.:  I think the recipe is great the way it is. I would add this item as a side to complete a chicken meal. I think the noodles as a bed for grilled chicken would be excellent. I could also add a side salad.

Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Koya A.:  I like that it is extremely spicy. It gives you more bang for buck, literally. The texture of the noodles are thicker and the flavor is bold. These are the best spicy noodles I have tried so far.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Koya A.:  I followed the directions on the container. I added water and the cup was placed in the microwave for 3 mins. Once complete I added the seasoning and mixed well. It was very simple and quick to prepare, which is always great.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Koya A.:  I would let it be known that these are not your ordinary spicy noodles. This brand is extremely hot. Once you've finished the product, you still feel the heat on your lips.

Thank you for your time, Koya A.! We love your feedback.
