Gourmet Spicy Shin Cup

Deliciously spicy and perfectly affordable, the Nongshim Shin Cup is an ideal pick for on-the-go eating. You’ll love the bright, satisfying heat and mix of flavors in this gourmet ramen. It’s a quick-prepare soup that’s just as good at home (with extras like a cracked egg and veggies) as it is on your lunch break (ready in a flash). All you have to do is wait for 3 minutes — stir well + serve. These shin cups are versatile and so simple to make.

We talked to Ana M. from TX about NONGSHIM, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Describe the different flavor notes that you taste in the broth, the texture of the noodles, and overall taste of the noodles in the broth.
Ana M.:  At first the flavors are subtle and then there is an explosion of spicy that you didn't expect. You can taste the mushrooms, onions, the red chili peppers in the beef broth. The noodles are firm, not soggy. The flavor of the wheat in the noodles calms the heat in your mouth.
Q: How would you choose to enhance your mealtime experience of the Shin Cup (e.g. what would you add to it, or what recipes would you make with it)?
Ana M.:  I choose to add slices of flank steak to enhance the meal. Also in another senecio a fried egg over the top would make it a complete meal for me.
Q: What did you like most about the Shin Cup, and how does it differ from other ramen you’ve tried?
Ana M.:  What I like the most about the Shin Cup is the noodles. They stay firm and taste great unlike other brands. I also like the small pieces of veggies and mushrooms that are visible in the cup.
Q: Describe how you prepared the Shin Cup, the level of convenience in preparing it, and your thoughts on its ease of preparation on-the-go.
Ana M.:  I boiled water over the stove and then poured it in the cup to steep for a few minutes. I like that there is the option to microwave it in its own cup for times that I need a quick and convenient lunch for work.
Q: If you were recommending this product to someone else, how would you describe the level of heat and general spiciness?
Ana M.:  The level of heat is tolerable enough to enjoy the flavors in the soup. There is definitely a kick in spicy with every bite!
“There is an explosion of spicy that you didn't expect.”
