Upscale Dish Without the Hassle
In Partnership with Food Network Kitchen Inspirations
We talked to Trinity from WI and here’s what she had to say:
If Trinity Had a Food Network Show
My show would be about cooking at camp. it would feature tips and recipes for cooking over a fire, grill, and small propane stove
Her Experience Making the Food Network Kit…
This was a pretty easy dish to make. I felt the instructions on the outside of the box were small, cluttered, and hard to read. I was glad to find the instruction sheet in the box. This felt a lot like an expensive meal service kit. This meal took about twenty minutes to make.
Trinity’s Thoughts On The Flavor…
I purchased the shrimp scampi kit. I think the pasta and seasoning included tasted delicious! However, I did not like the onions provided. Next time, I would saute fresh onions for this dish. The dehydrated onions added a VERY strong overpowering flavor that you can definitely tell were dried onions. They also created a strange crunchy and gummy texture in the dish. Without the onions, or with freshly sauteed onions, this dish would have excellent flavor.
Why she’d Make a Food Network Kit on her Show
I would show how to make this on a single burner propane stove while camping. This would be a perfect fit to my show as it is very compact for packing, has minimal ingredients requiring refrigeration, and all you need is one burner and one pan. Super great for camping when you're tired of hot dogs and hamburgers!
