One Pot, Quick, Delicious Dinner

In Partnership with Food Network Kitchen Inspirations

We talked to Erin from IN and here’s what she had to say:

If Erin Had A Food Network Show
Easy Budget-Friendly Family Meals would be the name of my show. I pride myself in being able to provide healthy, filling, appetizing and simple meals for my family of five on a budget. I would love to share my knowledge with others!
Her Experience Making The Food Network Kit…
The preparation for this kit was so simple. I actually purchased two kits so my whole family could enjoy it. I literally dumped everything in a pan, added some water and let it simmer for a few minutes, added my frozen (cooked) shrimp, some butter and the Parmesan cheese along with some lemon juice. It was maybe 15 minutes from start to finish.
Erin’s Thoughts On The Flavor…
I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting this to be that great. I was pleasantly surprised, however. The noodles did not turn to mush like a lot of boxed dinners tend to. The seasonings could have been a bit better, though. I did think the dish was a little bland overall. I even added some Italian seasoning and fresh garlic. Overall, I would purchase it again just to have a simple meal on hand.
Why She’d Make A Food Network Kit On Her Show
I would encourage folks to keep their eyes out for coupons, especially in new products, which I believe this is. Then I'd show them how I made this my own while still following the directions. I'd include how I purchased two boxes of pasta but only one bag of shrimp to stretch the budget.
Overall a simple, tasty dish!
