A Joyful Discovery

In Partnership with Goose Island Beer Company — Enjoy Responsibly

We talked to Alexia from IL and here’s what she had to say:

Q
Why were you excited to crack open a can?

A
Goose Island is local for me – been drinking their beers for years. When I popped the tab I was struck by the burst of fresh, tropical citrus notes. I knew this was no 'ordinary' IPA.
Q
Your thoughts on the flavor of this IPA...

A
It definitely has sweeter notes, with a creamy mouth feel. Besides the mango, I kind if think of Cara Cara or blood orange, something else tropical (probably due to that citrus aromatic burst I got) without the pithy bitterness I associate with some IPAs, depending on the hops.
Q
Would you recommend Lost Palate to a friend?

A
The Goose Island Lost Palate Hazy IPA is a crowd pleasing beer even for non-beer drinkers. Flavorful and food friendly, it still has some of the piney hoppiness you expect in some IPAs. But if you enjoy radlers, fruit salsas, or just want something different (especially if you enjoy nudging people out of their predictable comfort zone) this is a go-to beer.
Q
Why you'd reach for another...

A
Trying the Goose Island Lost Palate Hazy IPA was a doubly joyful discovery. First for the taste, then for the backstory of how it was created. I had to look up this brew after the first sip.
The Goose Island Lost Palate Hazy IPA is a great beer to share when you want to celebrate what you have.
