Oh, They're Weird And They're Wonderful!

In Partnership with The Happy Egg Co.

We talked to Giulie from CA and here’s what she had to say:

Giulie on the Colors of Heritage Breed Shells
The colors in this egg carton are beautiful. I love the variety. It makes the product look "real" and rustic. I grew up with chickens, so it makes me feel nostalgic to see a variety of colors in an egg carton.
What she Thought of the Rich Amber Yolk. . .
The color of the yolks is gorgeous: a deep, full, rich reddish orange. I've had fresh eggs before, but this is one of the deepest colors I've ever seen. I can just imagine how buttery and velvety it must taste when cooked sunny side up!
Her Thoughts on Heritage Breed’s Distinct Flavor
I cooked this sunny side up. I wanted to make sure I tasted the yolks when still runny to get a true gauge of the taste. It was very rich tasting. I loved it!
Giulie on Happy Egg’s Commitment to Free-Range Farming. . .
I hope consumers become more aware of this practice for pasture raised chickens and other animals. It makes people feel better about the quality of life the animal had/has and also it is a healthier way for us to live, too, by cutting down on the strain we put on animals and the earth.
A rustic and beautiful egg that delivers high quality and delicious taste and provides the confidence that the consumer supports fair, clean and healthy treatment of the animals we depend on for food.
