Yummy for Us, Humane for the Chickens!

In Partnership with Happy Egg Co.

We talked to Judith from TX and here’s what she had to say:

Q
Tell us what you made with your Happy Eggs!

A
Fried. I prepared this way because I wanted to get a good view of the eggs. I raised free range chickens 10 years ago and saw that these were just like mine used to be. Golden beautiful dark yolk centered in a firm white. Not runny like most store bought eggs. Flavor was also very good, but not noticeably different from other store bought eggs.
Q
How do you feel about The Happy Egg Co.’s commitment to hen welfare?

A
I love that they humane chicken raisers. It does make me feel better about buying their eggs.
Q
Get creative! What yummy summer recipe would you choose to incorporate Happy Eggs with?

A
I would like to make my daughters farm fresh egg salad. They are out of school for the summer and it seems like such a great lunch idea while they are home.
Q
Happy Egg Hens spend their days doing things they love [like perching, foraging + dust bathing]. What are some of your favorite things to do with family + friends?

A
We like to swim, run, and lift weights together. We also enjoy a relaxing evening just staying in, eating supper together, and watching a movie.
It feels great to feed my family healthy protein rich eggs from chickens we know have been cared for properly.
