Keeping Chickens And Consumers Happy

In Partnership with Happy Egg Co.

We talked to Deana from WA and here’s what she had to say:

Q
Tell us what you made with your Happy Eggs!

A
I made hard-boiled eggs because it's a simple way to taste the egg in its natural form without having to add spices. The flavor was fresher tasting than the regular eggs I buy at the store, and the color of the yolk was more vibrant like the farm-raised eggs I've had before.
Q
How do you feel about The Happy Egg Co.’s commitment to hen welfare?

A
I think it's great that they are raising their chickens in a more humane way. It shows in the quality of their product and makes the customer feel better about their purchase. Having said that though, I'm not sure I could keep buying this product on a regular basis with the price being more than twice the amount I normally pay for eggs.
Q
Get creative! What yummy summer recipe would you choose to incorporate Happy Eggs with?

A
I would choose chocolate chip cookies for sure. It's always a crowd pleaser and my family loves making cookies and putting ice cream in between two cookies for a summer treat. It would feel good knowing that the eggs in the cookies were a quality ingredient.
Q
Happy Egg Hens spend their days doing things they love [like perching, foraging + dust bathing]. What are some of your favorite things to do with family + friends?

A
I like going for walks, playing sports, and camping and fishing. We like to be out in nature and it feels good to get out of the house on a regular basis and take in the fresh air.
Supporting free-range Happy Eggs makes happy chickens and happy consumers.
