Happy Hens Lay Happy Eggs

In Partnership with Happy Egg Co.
We talked to Shawna from WV and here’s what she had to say:
Q
Tell us what you made with your Happy Eggs!

A
I scrambled 2 eggs to add to the top of my grilled chicken salad that I was about to set down to eat. Scrambled eggs on salad is something that we do on a fairly regular basis. Salt and pepper was the only thing added to the eggs. The eggs were light and fluffy yet hardy in texture with a creamy taste. Really really good!
Q
How do you feel about The Happy Egg Co.’s commitment to hen welfare?

A
I love the high standards that they use in raising their hens. My grandmother raised hens for eggs when I was little and they were treated as pets. They provided food for us so we pampered them the same. I love that this company reminds me of my childhood memories.
Q
Get creative! What yummy summer recipe would you choose to incorporate Happy Eggs with?

A
Grilled chicken salad (like I am having right now) with tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, bacon bit and scrambled eggs… Sure to please!
Q
Happy Egg Hens spend their days doing things they love [like perching, foraging + dust bathing]. What are some of your favorite things to do with family + friends?

A
Hiking and biking! Anything outdoors! Get out and breathe the fresh air!
Happy hens lay Happy Eggs. Eggs are one of my favorite foods because they can be used so many different ways.
