Happy Hens, Happy Eggs, Happy Humans!

In Partnership with Happy Egg Co.
We talked to Stephanie from CA and here’s what she had to say:
Q
Tell us what you made with your Happy Eggs!

A
I prepared most of the eggs by scrambling them (I mixed 7 eggs, a little milk and salt & pepper). The flavor was delicious and the eggs were fluffy and cooked evenly. I cooked the other 5 eggs by boiling them. I boiled the eggs for about 10 minutes, then took them out, cooled them off, and cracked them. I then prepared them by cutting each egg in half and adding a little salt and pepper. The eggs all cooked evenly and tasted extremely fresh and the yolk was nice and firm. I enjoyed the eggs cooked both ways.
Q
How do you feel about The Happy Egg Co.’s commitment to hen welfare?

A
I am extremely grateful that the hens are raised this way – not only for the flavor, but also for the wellness of the hen. I truly believe that hens that are raised well, will produce healthy eggs and possibly more eggs. I also think this is a smart idea because those hens probably live longer than hens that are not raised outdoors on family farms.
Q
Get creative! What yummy summer recipe would you choose to incorporate Happy Eggs with?

A
Next, I would like to prepare deviled eggs to bring to a family picnic or work potluck. Because the eggs seem to cook more evenly and look healthy, I would be proud to bring these eggs around family and friends.
Q
Happy Egg Hens spend their days doing things they love [like perching, foraging + dust bathing]. What are some of your favorite things to do with family + friends?

A
I love to go outdoors – picnics, hiking, long walks and camping. I love the outdoors because it takes the stress away from my everyday work life and keeps technology away to spend quality time with family and friends.
Happy Eggs reminded me that there are still quality companies that strive to provide customers with top quality food while still keeping the hens in a happy, healthy environment; this approach is beneficial to the hens along with humans.
