Happy…Healthy…Humane!

In Partnership with Happy Egg Co.

We talked to Deserea from CA and here’s what she had to say:

Q
Tell us what you made with your Happy Eggs!

A
I prepared seven of the organic Happy Eggs free-range eggs by placing them in a pot covered in water and over medium heat for 20 minutes in order to boil the eggs. I like to boil eggs as they are something quick and easy that I can eat on the go as a snack or I can make into a sandwhich. They are healthy and full of nutrients so they are ideal for me. The taste was good, fresh. The egg yolk was a nice light yellow color and there was no offensive "egg" smell that some eggs give off when boiling. They were also easy to peel, which is great.
Q
How do you feel about The Happy Egg Co.’s commitment to hen welfare?

A
I like that they are about treating animals' right. I am not an animal right activist, but I am very empathic, and I cannot stand to see animals suffer or be mistreated. I also think that the way an animal is treated impacts the nutrients that we consume from them so you don't want to keep an animal in stress or misery. "Happy Hens" are probably going to produce "Happy Eggs" so it's very fitting. Happy hens lead to Happy Eggs and Happy Eggs lead to happy and healthy humans.
Q
Get creative! What yummy summer recipe would you choose to incorporate Happy Eggs with?

A
I am thinking of making some chicken fried rice to go along with some BBQ kebabs when me and my sisters will have a BBQ pool party next month. I would scramble a few eggs to go into my chicken fried rice along with rice, vegatables, and chicken all fried together and flavored with soy sauce mixed in. I like to have a lot of eggd in my fried rice.
Q
Happy Egg Hens spend their days doing things they love [like perching, foraging + dust bathing]. What are some of your favorite things to do with family + friends?

A
We like to take the dogs and kids to the park to play, and we like to go to theme parks together and going to concerts and sporting events together, and we like eating together.
Happy Eggs from Happy hens that are treated humanely are honest, healthy, wholesome food.
