Happy Egg Co's Ethical Treatment of Animals.

In Partnership with Happy Egg Co.

We talked to Star from TX and here’s what she had to say:

Q
Tell us what you made with your Happy Eggs!

A
I’m at work so I ended up scrambling a couple eggs and using a sandwich maker. I added a little bit of a coworkers shredded cheese and sprayed some cooking spray on the sandwich maker and they came right out. They were extremely light and surprisingly fluffy and were very good as far as eggs go.
Q
How do you feel about The Happy Egg Co.’s commitment to hen welfare?

A
I am always for the ethical treatment of animals. I will pay more for a product if I believe it puts emphasis in the quality if treatment on their livestock. I love that this company cares about their chickens welfare.
Q
Get creative! What yummy summer recipe would you choose to incorporate Happy Eggs with?

A
Scotch Eggs for sure! 6 Hard Boiled Eggs – Peeled and Whole, 1 lb Ground Turkey or Pork Sausage, Panko Bread Crumbs, 2-3 eggs whisked and Flour. Divide the sausage into 6 equal parts then work each part around the boiled eggs until they are encased and no egg shows through.
Then dust them with flour and roll around in the whisked eggs. Drop them into the panko and coat thoroughly. Bake in a 350 F for 30-40 minutes until sausage is cooked.
Q
Happy Egg Hens spend their days doing things they love [like perching, foraging + dust bathing]. What are some of your favorite things to do with family + friends?

A
I enjoy walking my dogs and bbq’s. When my parents are in town we go Geocaching and walk trails at some of the landmarks in and around town.

Any company that puts their animals first will always be first with me.
