Happy Chickens Make For Tasty Eggs

In Partnership with Happy Egg Co.

We talked to Kerry from CO and here’s what she had to say:

Q
Tell us what you made with your Happy Eggs!

A
I kept it simple. I put a little butter in a frying pan, scrambled the eggs in the pan after cracking them directly into the pan. I added a little fresh cracked pepper and cooked the eggs, leaving them a little runny. I love eggs by themselves with not a lot added. The flavor is good. They are light and delicious.
Q
How do you feel about The Happy Egg Co.’s commitment to hen welfare?

A
I believe these regulations should be in place for all those who raise animals for food. I live in Longmont, Colorado which used to be home to the Butterball Turkey factory and I have seen the horrible ways that these birds are treated! Very inhumane!
Q
Get creative! What yummy summer recipe would you choose to incorporate Happy Eggs with?

A
I would make banana nut bread with mini chocolate chips! Yum, fresh baked and ready to share with everyone at home and at work.
Q
Happy Egg Hens spend their days doing things they love [like perching, foraging + dust bathing]. What are some of your favorite things to do with family + friends?

A
My family means everything to me and I cherish the time we spend together because life flashes by in an instant. We love to barbecue, go swimming and hiking, and take road trips to see the beautiful United States!
Hippie chicks love eggs laid by happy chicks. Peace!
