Happy Chickens Lay Better Eggs

In Partnership with Happy Egg Co.
We talked to April from OK and here’s what she had to say:
Q
Tell us what you made with your Happy Eggs!

A
I prepared fried eggs because it is quick and would allow me to taste the true flavor of the eggs. The shells were thick, similar to the eggs we get from our neighbors chickens. The flavor was good, maybe a little richer-tasting than our other eggs.
Q
How do you feel about The Happy Egg Co.’s commitment to hen welfare?

A
We take care of our neighbors’ chickens occasionally, so know that happy chickens lay better eggs. It’s impressive that Happy Egg can uphold these standards on such a large scale.
Q
Get creative! What yummy summer recipe would you choose to incorporate Happy Eggs with?

A
We sometimes have a big party in the summer and then make breakfast for those who need to stay overnight, and one of our go-to recipes is for an egg casserole that we love. Eggs, cheese, grits, and sausage…it’s addictive!
Q
Happy Egg Hens spend their days doing things they love [like perching, foraging + dust bathing]. What are some of your favorite things to do with family + friends?

A
We like to eat out with friends so that we can focus on connecting. We also frequently go to new breweries or bars to explore new places with our friends.
These eggs were similar to our neighbor’s.
