Happy Chickens, Beautiful Eggs, Healthy You

In Partnership with Happy Egg Co.

We talked to Lynn from WA and here’s what she had to say:

Q
Tell us what you made with your Happy Eggs!

A
I pan-fried my egg sunny-side up. The flavor was mild and very pleasant. When I cracked the egg and put it in the pan, the yolk stood out from the rest of the eggwhite. The yolk is a beautiful orangish color but it doesn't taste too strong.
Q
How do you feel about The Happy Egg Co.’s commitment to hen welfare?

A
Knowing that animals are not only humanely treated but treated with love makes me feel good about the food that I use and buy.
Q
Get creative! What yummy summer recipe would you choose to incorporate Happy Eggs with?

A
I am planning a Downunder cookout. That is, I'm going to make Australian style burgers -- you know the ones that have a fried egg on top of the cooked burger. This will be something fun and different to share with my family this summer season.
Q
Happy Egg Hens spend their days doing things they love [like perching, foraging + dust bathing]. What are some of your favorite things to do with family + friends?

A
My favorite thing is to walk along the seashore with my family and friends and have a beautiful fire on the beach with some burgers and deviled eggs. This gets us into the fresh air enjoying the beautiful outdoors and lets us get a little exercise as well.
I appreciate having available a source of high-quality protein from responsibly and lovingly-raised chickens.
