A Day In The Henhouse

In Partnership with Happy Egg Co.

We talked to Katie from PA and here’s what she had to say:

Q
Tell us what you made with your Happy Eggs!

A
I scrambled my eggs with a little bit of cheddar cheese as I think cheese always gives them a better flavor and makes them not taste so bland. I also put some salt and pepper on them. They tasted really fresh and had a beautiful yellow color.
Q
How do you feel about The Happy Egg Co.’s commitment to hen welfare?

A
I think that it is great that they consider the hens' welfare. I, on one hand, would purchase the product because of that. On the other hand, I don't know that I would always purchase those eggs because of the price. I would possibly consider raising my own chickens first.
Q
Get creative! What yummy summer recipe would you choose to incorporate Happy Eggs with?

A
I love to make quiches with eggs. There are so many fun fresh summer ideas to incorporate eggs in with all kinds of wonderful flavor combinations.
Q
Happy Egg Hens spend their days doing things they love [like perching, foraging + dust bathing]. What are some of your favorite things to do with family + friends?

A
I enjoyed going camping with family and friends, sitting by the fire, and having cookouts. I enjoy these activities because they are laid-back and you get to relax more than if you were out doing some other physical activity. It is perfect because I usually have long days chasing after my two-year-old daughter.
I think that happy chickens make Happy Eggs which makes a happy person.
